The Fireworks during the national anthem always gets me.

My mom and dad met in your band. They performed in this. Mom just sent it to me. We had dad’s drum top from the Rose Bowl on our wall growing up. I actually still have mom’s shirt from this event in my closet 😅

Thanks for sharing the memories. Meaningful to me for several reasons. 1) I'm out there on the field marching, and 2) I wrote some of this drill.

This was really awesome. The precision of moves as well as the music. Well done Illini band!!

They added pyrotechnics during "The National Anthem" recently. There are two "firework flourishes" - in the middle and after the anthem is over (a little longer fireworks display).
